Part-Time Furniture Sales Associate in Seaside, Oregon


Seaside Furniture, Mattresses, and More is currently seeking a Part-Time Furniture Sales Associate to join our team at our Showroom in Seaside, Oregon. We are looking for someone outgoing, friendly and driven. As a furniture sales associate, your primary responsibility will be assisting customers in finding the perfect furniture pieces for their needs and preferences. You should have a keen eye for interior design and be able to assist and arrange large furniture in an appealing manner with our in-house designer to showcase our products effectively.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Greet and engage customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing exceptional customer service throughout their shopping experience.
  2. Utilize your aptitude for sales to identify customer needs and offer suitable furniture options.
  3. Unbox and assemble furniture products with care and attention to detail.
  4. Assist our in-house designer in achieving an attractive and engaging display on the sales floor.
  5. Maintain a clean and organized showroom, ensuring that furniture displays are consistently well-presented.
  6. Stay knowledgeable about our furniture offerings, product features, and pricing to address customer inquiries effectively.
  7. Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system.
  8. Collaborate with the sales team to achieve individual and store sales targets.
  9. Assist with inventory management, including restocking and organizing merchandise as needed.
  10. Stay informed about industry trends and product developments to provide valuable insights to customers.
  11. Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and productive work environment.

Qualifications:

  1. Previous retail sales experience, particularly in furniture or home goods, is preferred.
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers.
  3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, ensuring a positive and collaborative work atmosphere.
  4. Aptitude for interior design and arranging furniture to create visually appealing displays.
  5. Flexibility in your schedule, including weekends.
  6. Physical ability to lift and move furniture items, unbox products, and maintain the showroom's overall appearance.

  • Full time: Wednesday-Sunday 9:30-6:00 pm

Compensation:

  • This is an hourly position
  • 2% Commission on all receipted sales during working days
